CTOT, Westmorland and Furness Council’s in‑house Transport Operational Team is recruiting drivers for a variety of vehicles, including car, MPV, minibus and coach. Successful candidates will hold a D1 (grandfather rights) or Cat D driving licence entitlement and be able to provide a high standard of passenger safety and care. Drivers will deliver Home‑to‑School transport for SEND pupils and vulnerable adults. An enhanced DBS clearance is required. Full training and a uniform will be supplied.

The service operates Monday to Friday, term time, with split school‑run shifts (approximately 07:30–09:30 and 14:30–16:30). Hours are up to 25 hours a week, with potential extra hours during school holidays. Work can be split into job‑share duties in the morning or afternoon.

Pay: £14.36 per hour, rising to £14.84 after satisfactory probation. A pay award is pending.

Who we are looking for… Candidates must be flexible, capable of providing a high standard of passenger safety and care throughout the journey. They must also be willing to pass a driving assessment on the same day as the interview at the Skirsgill Operational Depot.
