Westmorland and Furness Council is looking to appoint a Highways (Asset Management) Technician to support the management and administrative functions of the Highway Asset Management Team. We are looking to recruit a friendly and motivated candidate to join the team as the highways service continues to grow and develop. We are looking for someone who can ensure all work activities are carried out with a focus on improvement, attention to detail and meeting timescales.
The Role
Reporting to the Highways Asset Lead, this role will develop, support, maintain and update various highway GIS applications, asset data systems and electronic data capture software applications. The role will require you to participate in the collection of asset information, including site investigation work, the evaluation of condition surveys and assist in the preparation of priority treatment schemes lists for use in the development of the Highways Capital Programme.
