The predicted salary is between 30800 - 31800 £ per year.
You will be responsible for the safe operation of a vehicle (car, MPV, minibus or coach), ensuring passengers are transported safely and comfortably. You will work closely with Passenger Assistants and follow route plans and risk assessments to support the safety and wellbeing of all passengers.
We’re looking for reliable, confident individuals who can remain calm in different situations and prioritise passenger safety at all times. You should be able to work independently, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
You must hold a full UK driving licence (Category B minimum) with grandfather rights passed your test before January 1997. D1 (minibus) or Category D (coach) entitlement is desirable. You must be willing to undertake training (provided) and hold an enhanced DBS clearance. Experience of working with children or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.
Join our dedicated team within Transport Services at Westmorland and Furness Council and make a real difference every day. Term‑time only, Monday to Friday. Split shifts: approx. 07:30‑09:30 and 14:30‑16:30. Flexible options may be available, including mornings or afternoons (job‑share basis). Opportunities for additional work outside term time.
