The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will support teaching by leading agreed learning activities, including planning and delivering sessions for individuals, small groups, or short-term whole class cover. The role includes monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and taking responsibility for a specialist area within the school. Applicants must be willing to undertake training, including supporting pupils with medical interventions.
HLTA - Social and Emotional Learning Lead with Thrive
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant for SEL will support pupils' social and emotional development across the school, including leading Thrive sessions. The role involves delivering agreed activities, monitoring progress, and helping create a nurturing and supportive environment. Thrive experience is preferred, though full training will be provided. Please note this role includes 1 week working during the summer holidays to support with pupils transitioning to the school.
HLTA - Therapy Support
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant for Therapy Support will work closely with external professionals including OTs, physiotherapists and other specialists to help implement therapy programmes and recommendations across the school. The role includes supporting pupils in sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy, as well as assisting with communication between teams to ensure consistent, high quality provision.
