Cumbria Adult Learning have launched an exciting, countywide initiative – “Skills Bridge” designed to support local businesses by developing the skills of their workforce and those seeking employment. We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled tutor to deliver high-quality, engaging vocational courses across a range of sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking programme that is already making a real difference to businesses such as Windermere Marina and The Everbright Hotel Group. Skills Bridge provides free, bespoke, accredited training tailored to employer needs, helping organisations foster a culture of continuous improvement, wellbeing, and excellence.

As a tutor, you will:

  • Plan and deliver a range of vocational and business-related subjects which are engaging, learner-centred training sessions tailored to employer needs
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and workplace environments
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment, and progress, ensuring all delivery meets awarding body standards and quality assurance requirements
  • Embed English, maths, digital, and employability skills within training
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing in all learning contexts
