The Role

We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Project Sales Manager to develop and grow the project business across the UK and Ireland. You must possess a keen interest in Power transmission / Mechanical products. This is a home-based role with significant travel, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, customer engagement, and technical sales.

  • Expectations of an 80% Travel / 20% Home office split.
  • Travelling within Europe required for Group sales meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop target industries, applications, and customers.
  • Drive and grow project-based sales across the UK & Ireland.
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers and win new business.
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions.
  • Select appropriate drive solutions, prepare quotations, and negotiate orders.
  • Analyse applications, including troubleshooting and failure analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and international factories.
  • Support order processing and resolve customer issues.
  • Monitor market trends and provide insights to management.
  • Contribute to sales strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Review commercial contracts within project RFQs.

About You

  • Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in B2B industrial sales.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems desirable.
