We are seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join the finance team and support the delivery of accurate financial information that drives commercial performance and strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work collaboratively across departments, providing month-end support, insightful analysis and ensuring robust financial controls in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Lead month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyse variances against budgets and forecasts with meaningful commentary
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning activities
- Assist with statutory accounts preparation and external audit liaison
- Prepare VAT returns and routine statutory submissions
- Maintain inventory accounting including stock valuation and reconciliation
- Provide insightful commercial and financial analysis for senior management
About You
Qualifications & Experience
- Part-qualified / qualified through ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent, or qualified by experience
- Prior experience within a management or financial accounting role
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including VAT/ HMRC and month-end experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems

- A team player capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
