We’re looking for an experienced Head of Operations to drive production, supply chain, and site operations at a growing, international manufacturing business. About the Company With decades of heritage and a strong global presence, this SME is a trusted manufacturer and distributor of innovative consumer maintenance products. Supplying leading retailers and trade distributors across more than 50 countries, the business is built on a reputation for quality, value, and reliability. It’s a fast-paced, supportive environment where you’ll have the chance to shape operations, deliver improvements, and make your mark. The Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations while leading improvements in efficiency, quality, and output. This role is a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement—ideal for someone who enjoys being on the factory floor as much as in the boardroom. Key responsibilities include: * Leading production, warehouse, and supply chain activities. * Overseeing daily manufacturing, ensuring products are delivered on time and to the highest standards. * Driving continuous improvement across efficiency, quality, and compliance. * Managing supplier relationships, stock control, and logistics. * Coaching and developing a multi-skilled team, fostering a positive workplace culture. * Supporting business growth through KPI development, cost control, and system improvements. What We’re Looking For * Proven experience in operations or production management within SME manufacturing. * A hands-on leader who can roll up their sleeves to solve problems. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (bottle filling, chemicals, hand packing, or consumables experience a plus). * Supply chain and inventory management expertise. * Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of health & safety, quality, and compliance requirements. * Experience with lean/continuous improvement methodologies (desirable).
