We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Project Sales Manager to develop and grow the project business across the UK and Ireland. You must possess a keen interest in Power transmission / Mechanical products. This is a home-based role with significant travel, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, customer engagement, and technical sales. The role requires travelling within the UK and Ireland and 'work from home' as and when needed, with expectations of an 80% Travel / 20% Home office split. Travelling within Europe is required for Group sales meetings.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and develop target industries, applications, and customers.
- Drive and grow project-based sales across the UK & Ireland.
- Build strong relationships with existing customers and win new business.
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions.
- Select appropriate drive solutions, prepare quotations, and negotiate orders.
- Analyse applications, including troubleshooting and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams and international factories.
- Support order processing and resolve customer issues.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to management.
- Contribute to sales strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Review commercial contracts within project RFQs.
- Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in B2B industrial sales.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems desirable.
