Westminster Under School is seeking two Early Years Educators to join our Pre‑Prep Team. The role goes beyond a traditional Teaching Assistant, involving direct teaching, supporting children's learning and development and delivering EYFS‑based activities. The educators will collaborate with the class teacher, supervise pupils during play, support educational visits and handle administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that support children’s progress across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS);
- Supervise pupils during playtime;
- Assist with educational visits;
- Maintain records and complete a range of administrative and practical tasks.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent);
- Experience working with children in the early years is essential;
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, compassion and a clear understanding of professional boundaries;
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied workload;
- Effective classroom practitioner capable of building positive relationships with the school community and inspiring pupils.
Employment Details
- This is a permanent, full‑time, term‑time only role.
- Salary: £25,124.62 – £28,000 per year (actual) or £33,548.76 – £37,387.40 per annum on a full‑time equivalent basis, depending on experience.
