An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and accomplished French teacher to join the thriving Modern Languages department at Westminster Under School for one term, covering a sabbatical.
French has a high profile across the School and is taught from Reception through to Year 8, with pupils progressing from their first introduction to the language through to preparation for scholarship examinations. The successful candidate will teach across this broad age and ability range, including native and near-native speakers, helping pupils develop both their linguistic confidence and their enthusiasm for French language and culture.
The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and engaging French teacher, with native or near-native proficiency in the language and the ability to inspire pupils through ambitious, stimulating teaching. A degree and QTS or equivalent qualification are required, together with experience of teaching French.
A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the department and School through trips, cultural activities and the broader co-curricular programme is equally important.
