This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced security professional to play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for pupils, staff, and visitors across Westminster School's historic estate. As a key member of our Security team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the security of the school premises and its contents, including regular patrols throughout the estate.
Their key responsibilities will include:
- Following procedures to ensure buildings are properly opened, secured, and locked each day
- Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems
- Reporting security and fire incidents via the Incident Reporting System
- Maintaining a daily log to communicate with team members and to allocate keys
- Assisting Reception in welcoming visitors and contractors to the school.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in a professional security role and a good understanding of health and safety practices. The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong situational awareness and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent customer service, IT and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The role is full-time and will require flexibility to work shifts between 07.00am to 11.00pm, Monday to Friday and 07.00am to 07.00pm on Saturdays, as well as attending key school events. Full-time hours are 40 per week working for 52 weeks of the year.
