As part of our continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Sports Coach to join our Special School. Our School is extremely successful and employs a range of dynamic teaching methods and is committed to innovative curriculum development and its practices put it at the forefront of learning. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in delivering high-quality physical education and promoting healthy, active lifestyles across the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead PE lessons to support teachers' PPA time
  • Work alongside staff to model effective PE practice
  • Organise and lead lunchtime activities
  • Support the delivery of the PE curriculum
  • Assist with inter-school competitions and events
  • Maintain and prepare sports equipment
  • Assess pupils' progress and contribute to reporting
  • Support planning and monitoring of Sports Premium

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a school setting
  • Level 3 coaching qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of school sport environments
  • Understanding of Primary PE and Sports Premium
  • Positive role model with enthusiasm for sport
