We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Employment Coach to join our DFN Project SEARCH programme, based full-time, five days per week, at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. This is a fixed-term position up to 31 August 2027, supporting the delivery of this specialist employment programme within the NHS setting. This is a unique and rewarding role working in close partnership with Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, DFN Project SEARCH and Sandwell Supported Employment to support young people with SEND as they develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to progress towards sustainable paid employment. The successful candidate will work alongside interns within a busy NHS environment, providing individualised job coaching, supporting workplace learning and helping young people to develop greater independence, confidence and employability skills through meaningful work placements across the hospital. As the role is specifically based within the NHS Trust, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working flexibly across different hospital departments and building positive, professional relationships with NHS colleagues, partner organisations and the wider Project SEARCH team.
