This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to play a key role in supporting the Estates and Operations team at Westminster School. Working as the Department Administrator, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our facilities across both Westminster School and Westminster Under School. They will support a busy, fast‑paced department by delivering high‑quality administrative and operational support, helping to maintain an efficient and cost‑effective estates management service.
This is a dynamic and varied role, with responsibilities including:
- Maintaining accurate records of estates documentation
- Supporting the coordination of planned and reactive maintenance across multiple school sites
- Preparing correspondence, reports and summaries, and managing contractor documentation
- Acting as a key point of contact for estates‑related queries
- Maintaining central compliance trackers (fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene, electrical testing and other statutory areas)
- Supporting procurement activities, property lettings, tender processes and supplier performance tracking
You will be joining the department at an exciting time of growth and development. Over the next 12 months, the Estates and Operations team will deliver a major refurbishment of Westminster Under School, supporting an increase of 250 pupils. This role will be central to ensuring the successful expansion of facilities and the continued delivery of operational excellence across our historic, high‑profile estate.
This is a full‑time, permanent role with a salary of £32,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
About you
The successful candidate will bring strong administrative experience, including the use of database systems and digital tools such as OneDrive, Teams and EVERY. They will have an understanding of statutory compliance requirements within estates or facilities management, alongside excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. A high level of attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy while working under pressure.
