Westminster School is seeking a passionate and fluent French Language Assistant to join our vibrant Modern Languages Department on a part‑time basis.
Responsibilities
- Develop students’ oral proficiency in French, working almost exclusively in the target language to create an immersive and engaging linguistic experience.
- Teach primarily KS4 pupils in small groups and KS5 students in one‑to‑one sessions, pairs, or small groups.
- Collaborate with class teachers to ensure oral lessons complement the wider curriculum and the department’s overall teaching approach.
- Contribute to societies, events and activities that enrich students’ engagement with language learning.
Qualifications
- Fluency in French.
- Strong literacy skills and a deep understanding of French‑speaking societies and cultural issues.
- Patience, encouraging nature and commitment to inspiring a love of language in young people.
