Westminster is looking for a Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer to be responsible for the stability, security and strategic development of the School’s core IT infrastructure. The role will provide technical leadership for network, firewall, server, cloud and identity platforms, ensuring they are robust, secure and aligned with safeguarding and cyber security best practice.
Providing day-to-day technical direction to the IT and Network Engineer, the postholder will oversee standards, proactively identifying risks and driving enhancements that protect the School while supporting reliable delivery service. Due to the nature of this role, they will be required to work on site at our main site in Dean’s Yard with visits to the School’s linked prep school, Westminster Under School, as required.
The Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer will have significant senior-level experience of managing complex IT infrastructure and will be an expert in enterprise networking, firewalls, server platforms and Microsoft cloud technologies. They will have detailed knowledge of cyber security and of owning technical standards, as opposed to simply administering systems.

They will be able to translate strategic requirements into robust technical architecture and make and defend complex technical decisions in high-risk environments. Excellent communication and leadership skills are integral for this role.
