Contract: Part-time, Permanent (term‑time only)
Hours of work: 27 hours per week, term‑time only, including weekday evenings and occasional Saturday mornings (subject to agreement).
Salary: £25,024.19 per annum (actual)

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all piano accompaniment within the school, including house concerts, soloist concerts, vocal concerts, music society recitals, masterclasses, examinations, and assessment recitals.
- Provide solo performance opportunities and ensure rehearsal time for all award holders.
- Encourage pupil pianists to take on the role of accompanist when appropriate.
- Attend the weekly Department Meeting (Wednesday mornings).
- Ensure school pianos are tuned and maintained, liaising with the Head of Piano.
- Oversee Music Award Holders’ contribution to the annual performance calendar and monitor their progress.
- Teach up to five hours per week of individual instrumental tuition.
- Other accompaniment duties as reasonably requested by the Director of Music.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Outstanding keyboard skills and first‑rate sight‑reading.
- Versatility across a range of musical styles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Willingness to handle term‑time commitments and occasional weekend work.
Employment Conditions:
Permanent role with a six‑month probation period. Holidays are taken during the school’s main holidays.
