Location: UK based with the option for remote working. This role will require occasional travel to HQ in London to fulfil operational requirements.

Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months - extension possible.
Working Pattern: Full-time: WFD will consider flexible working arrangements, including job share, compressed hours, part time, flexitime.
Role Overview with key responsibilities: The M365 Solutions Architect is a new leadership role taking responsibility for designing and implementing a systems improvement strategy that will ultimately transform how WFD operates and how it successfully delivers its core work globally. This role will take charge of key areas of the strategy which includes the adoption of effective Microsoft AI tools and cyber security. The strengthening of data management, systematisation, and learning. They will lead on the implementation of a SharePoint transformation programme, new security and governance improvements, develop information architecture standards, manage permissions, retention and compliance controls across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Purview and Intune which are critical to the successful delivery of the strategy.
The M365 Solutions Architect will connect with multiple stakeholders at all levels across WFD, will work in partnership with the IT Operations Manager and reports to the Head of Operations for core IT platform- and cyber security-related tasks, with a dotted line to the Head of Digital and Insights for knowledge management- and AI-related tasks.
About You - We are looking for the following:
- Proven experience working as a Solutions Architect or in a similar lead role.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 architecture and SharePoint solutions - online, governance and information architecture.
- Demonstrated understanding of software development methodologies and frameworks, security best practices, and data protection regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving and solution design skills.
- Essential your able to evidence written and verbal communications skills that positively engages with a diverse audience - many who are non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects independently.
- Experience delivering end-user training and supporting organisational change.
