Location: UK Based. Hybrid working, this role requires attendance at the London Head Office, SW1, to fulfil operational requirements. The number of days onsite per week will vary from 1-4 days.

Role Overview with Key Responsibilities:

The IT Operations Officer is a new role and will take responsibility for delivering frontline technical support services globally. Key areas of work include:

  • Resolving day-to-day hardware, software, and network disruptions
  • Onboarding support-level tasks
  • Triaging user support requests
  • Device management through Intune and Autopilot
  • Account administration
  • Onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintaining IT documentation and asset records

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, working collaboratively across teams and departments, the IT Operations Officer will ensure technology supports the delivery of WFD’s programmes and global services by promoting effective use of digital tools and online platforms. Opportunities to participate in plans to ensure WFD’s technology services remain secure, effective, and aligned with organisational goals. Contribute to WFD’s wider digital transformation and organisational development initiatives, including supporting Cyber Essentials accreditation, user training, change management activities, technology procurement, and the Joint Technology Action Plan.

About You:

  • Experience providing user support (both remote and in-person), including troubleshooting common hardware and software issues
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows devices, user account administration, endpoint support, and common business applications
  • Proficiency in basic networking concepts, device management, cyber security good practice, and IT service management processes
  • Ability to log, prioritise, and elevate IT support requests effectively
  • Experience assisting with device setup and configuration (e.g. laptops, mobile devices) using standard procedures via Intune
  • Good understanding of IT policies, security, and compliance requirements, with the ability to follow procedures
  • Good knowledge of tools to support digital delivery
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users at all levels
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation (e.g. asset registers, project trackers)
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support across different departments
