The Role

We are seeking an accomplished and diligent Conference Research Assistant to join our Editorial team. This multifaceted role entails helping produce conferences on key issues in energy, environment, infrastructure and transport that help move forward thinking for legislators, government, regulators and stakeholders affected by the important issues being discussed. You will work closely with different areas of our business, demonstrating diplomacy, sensitivity, and a commitment to delivering quality results in a timely manner.

Recent and upcoming conferences focus on: road strategy, CCCUS, HS2, active travel, aviation, solar power, ZEVs, maritime, energy efficiency, energy storage, hydrogen policy, biodiversity, electricity market reform, nuclear, fusion, smart electricity, grid development, gas and electricity and many other areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Researching issues, emerging trends, possible speakers and contacts across the policy landscape to a brief
  • Helping make sure conferences are as up-to-date, relevant and inclusive as possible, with no interested parties left out of discussing important developments
  • Drafting agendas, invitations to delegates and speakers, and text for our website
  • Liaising with speakers and Parliamentary chairs
  • Attending and contributing to the smooth operation of our seminars and receptions – online, in Westminster and elsewhere in the UK
