The scale and diversity of Westminster’s housing stock means every decision we make is shaped by huge amounts of information. Turning that information into insight that genuinely improves services is a challenge we take seriously, and this role sits right at the heart of that ambition. As our Business Analyst, you’ll help translate complex asset and compliance data into clear recommendations, guiding decisions on work programmes, investment planning and long‑term asset strategy so that our homes stay safe, sustainable and fit for the future.
Your work will touch everything from asset planning and building safety to performance, digital transformation and service redesign. You’ll help colleagues across the Housing service see problems more clearly, test new ideas and make evidence‑based decisions in a way that feels accessible, grounded and resident focused. Day to day, you’ll work closely with teams across Housing, IT and wider corporate services to refine how data is collected, interpreted and shared.
You’ll apply analytical techniques to spot patterns and risks, translate complex information into clear narratives and support teams as they rethink how services are delivered. A big part of your contribution will be helping colleagues improve their own data confidence, strengthening our broader capability as a service. You won’t be doing this in isolation. You’ll be part of a collaborative culture where curiosity is encouraged and where data plays an increasingly important role in shaping investment, repairs, compliance and communication.
You’ll support the development of performance measures and help build a clearer picture of how well our services are working, what needs attention and where we can have the most impact. If you enjoy solving problems, asking the right questions and helping people see possibilities they hadn’t considered, this could be a great fit.
You’ll need strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate clearly with non‑technical audiences and the confidence to work across different teams and priorities. Experience with SQL, Python, R or similar tools would be valuable, but just as important is your curiosity and your desire to make data meaningful for the people who use our services. If you’re looking for a role where your insight can help shape safer homes, better services and smarter decisions for thousands of residents, we’d love to hear from you.
