Role Overview: As Specialist Cleaning Supervisor you will lead a small team to deliver professional, sensitive cleaning services for properties affected by hoarding, hazardous waste or extreme cleaning needs. Your focus will be on operational leadership, improving health outcomes for those most in need and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set operational standards and improvement initiatives for deep cleaning and decontamination services.
  • Plan, coordinate and schedule operations, allocating tasks and managing resources to meet timelines.
  • Oversee budgeting, maintain accurate records of work completed, incidents and material usage, and manage inventory of supplies, PPE and specialist equipment.
  • Lead multi-agency collaboration with housing officers, social workers and other partners to achieve the best outcomes for residents.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH and biohazard protocols, and conduct recruitment and performance management.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Report safeguarding concerns, property risks or health and safety issues to the relevant authorities.
  • Support the team in working extended hours, evenings and weekends when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience supervising staff or coordinating frontline services in adult social care, housing, environmental services or a similar setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, PPE, manual handling, infection prevention and COSHH.
  • Proficiency with IT systems for recording, reporting, scheduling and monitoring service activity.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Relevant training or experience in safeguarding, health and safety, manual handling, housing or working with vulnerable adults is an advantage.
