Westminster Academy has a fantastic opportunity for an innovative and dedicated Cover Supervisor to play a vital role by providing a cover service for planned absence and reactive cover, which is set each morning. The post holder may be assigned to certain areas of the curriculum more than others, based on their knowledge and the staffing requirements, but they would need to be flexible to cover a full range of subjects to assist with the education and care of the students in the Academy. The post holder will ensure that students carry out curriculum tasks set by the teacher and assist students in understanding the nature of these tasks in order to minimise the impact of the teacher’s absence upon the students’ learning.

Our ideal Cover Supervisor will be calm, have exceptional organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, proficient I.T. skills and work well under pressure. If you are a confident and enthusiastic individual who has a genuine interest in delivering high-quality lessons to improve the outcomes for young people, we would love to hear from you.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working in a secondary school environment.
