Westminster Abbey is seeking enthusiastic and welcoming individuals to join our team of Ushers, known as Honorary Stewards. This volunteer role offers a unique chance to contribute to the welcoming and historic atmosphere of one of the world\'s most iconic landmarks.
As an Honorary Steward, you will be responsible for assisting at services by welcoming, seating, and directing members of the congregation, ensuring that each visitor has a memorable and respectful experience. Your duties will include supporting regular and special services, attending briefings, and assisting with various ceremonial tasks.
Honorary Stewards are expected to be available for duty for at least five Sunday Services, on a minimum of three Sundays, every quarter; ten Stewards being usually required for each week’s Sunday services. Honorary Stewards are also expected to be available for duty for at least two “Special” Services each quarter, most of which are during the week.
