The Opportunity
There is now an exciting opportunity for a Line Technician to join our Trafford Team. You will be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient running, maintenance, changeover and troubleshooting of the production lines. You will be expected to champion a zero‑accident culture, excellent focus on Food Safety and quality and to drive Westmill’s key behaviours. You will play an active role in the delivery of the department performance targets such as OEE, right first time (RFT) waste and yield. You will be expected to complete basic equipment condition monitoring, preventative maintenance duties and basic engineering repairs. We are looking for a candidate that can demonstrate working within a team environment but can also use their own initiative with a confident and collaborative approach combined with a strong proactive work ethic and excellent communication skills. Having a strong sense of establishing great working practices and standards will be required in this role. You must have a flexible approach to our rotating shift pattern, working days, nights and weekends. At times there will also be the opportunity to work additional hours before and after shifts. Full training will be provided.
