About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive primary school family. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant setting supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. You will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom, helping pupils to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the learning and development of pupils across the primary age range.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support SEND needs.
  • Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusive practice.
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help to create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
  • Be patient, positive and supportive.
  • Have good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be adaptable and able to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Have experience working with children with SEND.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
  • Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant).
