Welder/Fabricator

Welder / Fabricator – Located in South Rd, Ellesmere Port, CH65 4LD.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Maintenance Engineer team and fulfil the role of Welder/Fabricator at our compost manufacturing facility located at South Rd, Ellesmere Port, CH65 4LD.

We are offering a days based role on competitive hourly rates and a weekly £50 Attendance bonus.

Main Duties Include:

• Weld and fabricate metal components using MIG, TIG, and MMA based on specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine work requirements.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet the required standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Essential Criteria:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques.
• Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role.
• The ability to design and specify own work
• Previous experience of gas and plasma cutting.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
• Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in metal fabrication.
• The ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
• Flexibility when prioritising work
• Excellent communication skills
• Good attention to detail with an ability to work with precision.
