Sinclair Professional, part of the Westland Horticulture Group, is a market-leading growing media manufacturer delivering Innovation, Performance, Partnership, and Success. We provide growers with the science and expertise to produce healthy, vibrant plants, supporting professional growers across the UK.
Due to growth and business expansion, we are looking for two passionate horticultural professionals to join our award-winning Sinclair team:
- Technical Area Sales Manager – Field Based - East of England
- Trainee Technical Sales Manager (Field Based) – Nationwide (UK)
Both roles are field-based sales positions with a clear development pathway, ideal for both experienced candidates and those looking to grow into technical sales.
Your Role
- Deliver results across Sinclair Brands, maximising technical, operational, and sales support to ensure commercial success.
- Provide expert advice, service, and technical guidance to growers in all interactions.
- Build strong relationships with professional growers and commercial customers while developing new accounts.
- Manage your own schedule, territory, and targets while working closely with the customer support team to ensure strong order-to-delivery results.
- Gain hands-on experience and ongoing training, with opportunities to progress into a fully-fledged Technical Area Sales Manager if starting as a trainee.
About You
- Passionate about horticulture and growing technology.
- Experienced candidates: Minimum 3 years’ sales experience with direct account management in nurseries or professional growers.
- Trainee candidates: Degree or diploma in horticulture, soil/plant science, or turf management, with at least 1 year’s relevant experience.
- Commercially focused with the drive to deliver results and grow the professional business.
- Strong leadership, teamworking, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical knowledge of growing media and fertilisers is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence with ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
