Taking overall responsibility for the site health and safety agenda, ensuring legal compliance and driving continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing environment.Leading the development and implementation of site health and safety standards, systems and action plans, working closely with the General Manager and senior site team.Involvement internal and external audit activity, including ISO, ethical and compliance audits, ensuring actions are followed through to completion.Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, trend reviews and RIDDOR reporting where required.Providing competent advice, coaching and challenge to managers and supervisors to improve safety standards and promote visible safety leadership.Overseeing risk assessments, COSHH controls, training requirements and safety engagement activity across the site.

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety Manager, Site H&S Lead or equivalent role within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is desirable.Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.Experience leading accident and incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, COSHH controls and corrective action plans.Ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis.Strong management skills with the ability to influence others.
