Due to phenomenal growth, we’re looking for a creative and ambitious Assistant Brand Manager to join our thriving team at Westland Horticulture!
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development of Unwins Seeds, one of our most established and loved heritage brands. You’ll be joining a dynamic, friendly, and entrepreneurial team where your ideas are welcomed and encouraged from day one.

Main Duties:
- Supporting the Brand Manager in the day-to-day execution of brand plans for our seeds category, with a particular focus on propagation.
- Assisting with product lifecycle management – from range reviews and packaging updates to product data accuracy and SKU performance.
- Coordinating marketing and promotional assets to ensure brand consistency across all consumer and trade channels.
- Liaising with cross-functional teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Design Studio, Technical) and external stakeholders to support smooth product delivery and campaign execution.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to help inform strategic brand decisions.
Skills and Experience:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a marketing, brand, or product management role – ideally within FMCG, Retail, or a consumer-driven environment.
- A hands-on marketer with genuine enthusiasm for branding and consumer goods
- Proven experience of supporting new product launches, and marketing campaigns.
- Insightful and curious – you understand what makes consumers tick and enjoy using tools like Nielsen, Kantar, or other market research platforms.
- Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the UK retail landscape, including in-store promotional activity.
- A confident communicator who’s comfortable collaborating and influencing at all levels.
