Westland Horticulture is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Coordinator to support the management and development of our controls product portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to product innovation, ensure regulatory compliance, and help deliver next-generation solutions for gardeners and horticultural professionals across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all control products comply with relevant legislation, including biocide and plant protection regulations.
- Maintain and update regulatory approvals, technical documentation, and product databases.
- Monitor legislative changes and adapt product strategies to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate R&D trials and contribute to the development of innovative, sustainable solutions for the controls portfolio.
- Benchmark competitor products to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
- Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to support product launches and provide technical expertise for customer queries.
- Contribute to initiatives around plant health, integrated pest management, and sustainability in gardening.
- Liaise with external regulatory specialists to ensure all compliance requirements are met.
Person Specification
- Degree or relevant experience in Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong understanding of biocides and plant protection regulations.
- Knowledge of technical product development within horticulture, gardening, or agriculture.
- Awareness of environmental and sustainability issues impacting the sector.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical systems.
