Due to continued growth and exciting plans ahead, we’re looking for a creative, driven, and commercially minded Assistant Brand Manager to join the team at Westland Horticulture. This is a brilliant opportunity to play a key role in the development of Unwins Seeds - one of the UK’s most established and loved heritage gardening brands. You’ll be joining a fast-paced, friendly, and entrepreneurial environment where fresh ideas are encouraged, collaboration is valued, and no two days are the same.
Working closely with the Brand Manager, you’ll support the delivery of brand plans across our Seeds category, with a particular focus on propagation products. This is a varied and hands-on role, offering exposure across product development, marketing, retail activation, and commercial planning.
You’ll be involved in:
- Supporting the execution of brand and marketing plans across the Seeds category.
- Assisting with product lifecycle management, including range reviews, packaging updates, SKU management, and product data accuracy.
- Coordinating marketing and promotional assets to ensure consistency across consumer and trade channels.
- Working cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Technical, and Design teams to support successful product launches and campaigns.
- Managing key administrative and project coordination tasks including presentations, product setup forms, costing requests, POS ordering, and NPD timeline tracking.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to support strategic brand decisions and innovation opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware, creative, and eager to develop their career within brand and product marketing. You’ll ideally have:
- 1–3 years’ experience within a Brand, Marketing, or Product role, ideally within FMCG, retail, or another consumer-led environment.
- Marketing Degree.
- A genuine passion for brands, consumer behaviour, and product marketing.
- Experience supporting product launches and marketing campaigns.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with stakeholders across different functions.
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of the UK retail environment and promotional activity.
