Project Engineer to join the delivery of a major infrastructure project.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to take the next step in their career, working on a high‑profile scheme where you will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting the successful delivery of complex civil works.
Role
As Project Engineer, you will play a key role in project delivery, working closely with site teams, designers, clients and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
Key responsibilities include
- Coordinating site engineering activities across the project.
- Managing technical compliance, setting out and construction information.
- Monitoring progress against programme, cost and quality objectives.
- Supporting procurement, logistics and material management.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Promoting the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate
- Experience delivering major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- SMSTS qualification.
