To provide technical leadership and delivery accountability for innovation across the HS1 asset base, progressing new technologies from development and trial into safe, assured, and value-for-money operational deployment. The role operates with a high degree of professional autonomy, acting as a subject-matter expert and technical authority within the NRHS innovation framework.

Lead the identification, development, and deployment of innovation initiatives aligned to NRHS strategic objectives. Act as technical authority for assigned innovation projects, setting direction and ensuring engineering integrity. Translate emerging technology into practical, deployable solutions for HS1 operations and maintenance.

  • Experience working with drones and associated inspection data
  • Experience of One Big Circle tools and the AiVR software
  • Knowledge of remote condition monitoring solutions, including OLE monitoring
