Project Controls Consultant

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a number of fantastic assistant project controls opportunities based in London 2 days per week.

About the Role

We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Controls Consultants to support the delivery of planning and controls services across a range of major programmes. This role offers exposure to all key areas of project controls, including scheduling, cost, risk, change management, and reporting. You\’ll work alongside experienced consultants and client teams, contributing to project delivery while building your expertise across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject
• Support schedule updates, progress tracking, and performance reporting
• Contribute to cost and earned value reporting
• Help maintain risk registers and support schedule risk assessments
• Assist in change management tracking and baseline impact analysis
• Support the creation of dashboards and visual reports using Power BI
• Work with project teams to collect and interpret data to support informed decision-making

About You

• 2-4 years of experience in planning or project controls roles within infrastructure or engineering projects
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6; familiarity with MS Project or Asta Powerproject is a plus
• Exposure to other controls functions such as cost, risk, or change control is advantageous
• Competent in handling data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, schedule analytics)
• Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
• Proactive mindset and interest in developing a career in project controls
