Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for procurement specialists to be engaged on a permanent basis in Bristol.

Job Description

Commercial / Procurement Manager - Make the Difference and join a company who want to shape some of the UK's most complex, high-profile programmes.

What You'll Do

  • Lead procurement and commercial strategy
  • Manage contracts end-to-end
  • Drive supplier performance and manage risk
  • Support tendering and negotiations
  • Ensure governance and compliance

What You Bring

  • Experience in procurement or contract management
  • Ability to manage risk and supplier performance
  • Understanding of project/programme management
  • Strong commercial judgement

Bonus Skills

  • Government procurement experience
  • Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or JCT

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification(s) in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Law, Project Management or a similar relevant discipline, or an equivalent level of relevant experience.
  • Trained in, or holds a sufficient level of experience of, Defence and Security Public Contracting Regulations (DSPCR), the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) and/or the Procurement Act 2023.

Additional Information

Security Requirements: Due to the sensitive nature of the work involved in our specialist defence projects, candidates will be required to hold, or be eligible to obtain, Security Clearance (SC). To meet the criteria for this level of clearance, applicants must:

  • Be a British National
  • Hold a valid UK passport
  • Hold 5-10 years of continuous UK residency, depending on the level.

SOX control responsibilities may apply to this role and must be adhered to where relevant.
