What will you be doing? Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an electrical estimator to be engaged on a permanent basis in Warrington. You will review each tender enquiry to understand its scope and technical needs, highlighting any commercial, technical, or contractual risks for senior management to assess. You will stay closely connected with the client throughout the bid, clarifying requirements and preparing accurate, competitive costings, including subcontractor and supplier prices. You will work with engineering to gather technical details, agree the best solution, and take part in internal reviews. You will produce a clear, professional proposal, attend site visits, update progress in the CRM, support project handover when successful, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
What you'll bring:
- Technical understanding of LV design, including MCCs, switchboards, control panels, cable sizing, motor control and field instrumentation
- Knowledge of electrical control and protection principles
- Confident communicator who works well with colleagues and clients at every level
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
- Currently holding or working toward a relevant engineering degree
