Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for E&I Technicians to be engaged on a permanent basis in Seascale.

The Role

As an E&I Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring that Radiation Protection Instruments are maintained to the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and compliance. You will be directly involved in the repair, maintenance, calibration, and testing of critical systems, supporting both operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, calibrate, and test radiation protection instruments to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow detailed instructions to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Adhere to local procedures, rules, and working practices to meet regulatory and customer standards.
  • Provide technical advice, updates on work progress, and relevant information to customers as required.
  • Mentor team members, including apprentices and new entrants, to ensure high standards and best practices are upheld.

Essential Experience & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of conventional and nuclear safety principles.
  • Proven experience servicing electronic instrument systems.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
  • Completed apprenticeship or equivalent training in a relevant discipline (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Technology).
