We are currently supporting a leading engineering and technology consultancy in their search for Senior Systems Engineers to join a growing Defence & Decommissioning division. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects within highly regulated industries including Defence and Nuclear. The successful candidates will play a key role across systems engineering activities, supporting major programmes involving mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements specification production and management
- Interface management across complex systems
- System architecture definition and development
- Functional and interface modelling
- Working across mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines
- Using requirements management tools such as DOORS
- Supporting Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities using tools such as Capella
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience within a highly regulated industry such as Nuclear, Defence, Aerospace, Rail, or similar
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and systems thinking
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a STEM-related subject, or equivalent industry experience
- Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering considered advantageous
- Experience using IBM Rational DOORS is desirable
- Familiarity with MBSE methodologies and tools such as Capella is desirable
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards including INCOSE and British Standards is beneficial
- Candidates with transferable engineering experience looking to develop further within Systems Engineering are also encouraged to apply
