Location: Winfrith, Dorchester - full time on site.

Job Description: To provide a quality and responsive waste management service for the decommissioning projects and site infrastructure to secure compliant disposal of waste volumes and assist the execution of key waste targets delivered from the projects.

Responsibilities:

  • To support delivery within his or her range of skills, knowledge, experience and competence.
  • To comply with the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments.
  • To support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety Environment and Quality.
  • To collate technical waste performance information for analysis against waste management performance objectives and schedule for the Life Time Plan.
  • Assisting in preparation of safety cases under the plant modification procedure.
  • Assisting in specification of work instruction, documentation and processes.

Essential:

  • Strong administrative competence with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Clear understanding and appreciation of regulatory and compliance-driven environments.
  • Basic knowledge of the nuclear sector, including low-level radioactive waste and out of scope waste.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Desirable:

  • STEM-related background (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
