Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineering Consultant with a background in Nuclear or Defence, to be engaged on a permanent basis, located in Cumbria. What you'll be doing: Support to the Head of Engineering (Integration) the development of robust and coherent engineering strategies throughout the Systems Integration lifecycle. Acting as the delegated Technical Authority for the Systems Integration team. Support to the Design Policies work stream and assessment of the impact on the overall system performance due to non-compliance with any of these design policies Support to the Head of Engineering (Integration) key technical issues and decisions Support into DN programme LCM Reviews, Design Reviews, ISTG events, and key Working Groups Provide domain expertise in SE and MBSE in support of the DN programme engineering delivery. Design Review Assessor, providing independent review of product design and assurance of compliance with Life Cycle Management, Engineering and product safety policiesYour skills and experiences: Essential: Systems Engineering, MBSE, Systems Architecture, Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVV) A background in a relevant High assurance / high hazard engineering industry Experience of the use of Model Based Systems Engineering in the design, implementation, Verification, and Validation of complex, software-intensive systems.
