As a Senior Engineer in Metrology (Instrumentation), you will play a central role in the development, verification, and lifecycle support of complex electronic systems. Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external specialists, you will help design and implement effective testing regimes and verification strategies.
You will engage with internal stakeholders to understand and refine technical requirements, ensuring that instrumentation solutions are clearly defined, fit for purpose, and aligned with project objectives. The role includes hands-on responsibility for the installation and configuration of bespoke instrumentation, as well as fault-finding, maintenance, and support of existing systems.
You will contribute to a range of testing activities, including acceptance testing and operational trials, ensuring accurate data capture and analysis. A key part of the role involves interpreting results and producing high-quality technical reports to support system verification, qualification, and ongoing performance assessment.
You will also support assurance activities such as peer reviews and verification processes, ensuring adherence to engineering and safety standards. In addition, you will produce lifecycle management documentation and supporting safety or qualification evidence. As a senior team member, you will provide mentorship and guidance to early-career engineers.
