Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for Senior EC&I Engineer roles on a contract basis, based in Cumbria or Warrington.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve technical queries from suppliers and clients in a timely and structured manner.
- Support the Contract Engineering Lead throughout design and procurement phases.
- Monitor equipment manufacturing, testing, and delivery through to site installation.
- Review supplier documentation, technical submissions, and surveillance reports to required standards.
- Identify and manage engineering risks, opportunities, and design changes.
- Coordinate interface management across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Assess and validate engineering modification requests for accuracy, compliance, and necessity.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in instrumentation design, procurement, testing, or installation.
- Strong capability in reviewing technical documentation and following up with suppliers.
- Knowledge of British and/or EU electrical standards.
- Background in heavy industry environments such as nuclear, power generation, or oil & gas.
- Understanding of process instrumentation systems and their integration within complex facilities.
