About the Role: We are looking for Project Managers with experience in completing complex construction projects to join our defence sector, which includes a contract at a facility near Reading. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, particularly within the nuclear industry, and possess exceptional leadership and organisational skills. Experience in delivering Instrumentation and Control Systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the operational management and delivery of projects.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders (Client, Contractors, project delivery functions) and maintaining regular communication.
  • Leading key packages of site works.
  • Ensuring nuclear safety and quality requirements are achieved to the highest standard.
  • Performing against a tight schedule and budget through effective management of deliverables, quality requirements, risk, and opportunity management.
  • Creating an inclusive environment, leading, and motivating others to achieve and deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Managing and supporting others in implementation and application of project controls and commercial management (NEC3 & 4).
  • Ensure that key deliverables within each stage of the project are being achieved to the highest standard on a consistent basis.

About you: Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a related field and have certifications in project management (e.g. APM, PMP, PRINCE2 etc.) Experience in delivering large scale and complex construction projects. Minimum of 5 years experience in Project Management and working in a highly regulated environment. Experience in leading multi contractor and multi-disciplined teams. Demonstrable stakeholder management skills. The ability to thrive in pressure situations is essential.
