Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Platform Systems Engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis, with onsite working and based in Barrow-in-Furness. This role will involve developing the package of design evidence required to justify a safe, effective design and generate customer confidence in the design solution. You will be required to specify and assist in the build of prototypes, providing timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues, whilst also mentoring junior engineers and making presentations effectively to technical and management audiences. You will also be expected to author/co-author technical reports as required.
Your skills and experience:
- Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science subjects
- Be able to design and present documentation to customers and wider groups
- Have an Engineering Lifecycle background
- Be proficient in CAD and MS Office.
