Westlakes Recruit are supporting one of our major nuclear clients recruiting for an Electrical Designer role based in Warrington or Preston.

The role involves:

  • Creating electrical design solutions and deliverables across the full lifecycle, from concept to in-service support.
  • Producing and maintaining drawings and documentation to ISO standards, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.
  • Collaborating effectively with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure coordinated and functional designs.
  • Supporting design reviews, resolving technical queries, and contributing to innovative solutions for manufacturing and installation challenges.
  • Assisting senior designers with estimates, quality improvements, and test documentation, while staying informed on industry developments.

This role is full-time, 37-hours per week, based in Warrington (Cheshire), and includes hybrid, flexible working arrangements.

Essential experience:

  • Knowledge of CAD tools
  • Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice

Qualifications:

  • ONC/HNC/HND (or equivalent) OR BTEC National Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) OR appropriate apprenticeship of specialisation
