Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an Electrical Designer to be engaged on a permanent basis, based in Warrington. The Role You will manage multiple concurrent projects, contributing from early concept through to detailed design and final delivery. The position requires a hands-on, technically strong engineer who can balance speed with accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include: Producing scopes of work, technical reports, and both concept and detailed electrical designs Developing design drawings for power, lighting, fire detection, and security systems Creating electrical O&M models and associated documentation Supporting project delivery to meet programme, budget, and quality objectives Liaising closely with client-side engineers and stakeholders to ensure coordinated execution Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams Candidate Requirements 5+ years' experience in electrical design within pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environments Experience working on UK-based pharmaceutical construction projects HNC, HND, or degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) preferred Professional membership (e.g. IET) desirable Strong knowledge of LV distribution, lighting design, fire safety, security, and cabling systems Good understanding of CDM 2015 regulations Ability to produce 2D/3D designs, layouts, and cable routing diagrams Proficiency in AutoCAD LT, Relux/Dialux, Trimble, and Navisworks (Revit advantageous) Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with client teams Role based on a secure pharmaceutical site (HORUS security clearance required)Why We're Different: Westlakes Recruit are a people solutions business that understands the complexities of nuclear and the importance of our clients' mission critical objectives.
