Overview
Westlakes Recruit are currently supporting one of our major clients recruiting for an E&I Commissioning Engineer based in Warrington.
Where you will be working
One of the UK\’s largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
What you will be doing
- You will be hands-on with testing and commissioning LV switchgear, cabling, and electrical systems, making sure everything runs safely and smoothly up to 1000V.
- From reading technical drawings to configuring protection devices, you will support seamless system integration.
- Issue safety documents (training available), write clear progress reports, and troubleshoot on-site.
- Our team ensures installations meet project specs and safety standards, completing inspection plans and training for new equipment.
- We work closely with other trades to keep commissioning collaborative and efficient.
- With thorough FAT and SAT processes, we\’re proud to deliver quality assurance every step of the way.
What you\’ll bring
- Solid E&I commissioning experience
- Background in Power, Energy, and Gas Transmission
- Hands-on with LV Switchgear and MCCs
- Full UK driving licence
- Engineering apprenticeship or technical training
- HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering
- Qualified in Inspection & Testing
- Holds CSCS/ECS card
- LV authorised and experienced
- CompEx EX01-EX04 (desirable)
- SMSTS and First Aid (desirable)
