Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant interested in opportunities on a contract basis, to be located in Thurso.
Responsibilities:
- Provide management and financial accounting reports
- Prepare and issue monthly reports/invoices and supporting documentation
- Maintain the financial structures within U4BW
- Manage and reconcile accounts
- Analyse transactions and reconciliations within the balance sheet and profit and loss account taking corrective action
- Maintain records on the restructuring programme, prepare payments to pensions admin office and allocate charges accordingly
- Manage the delegations database
- Perform the responsibilities of management appointments relevant to the post
Experience:
- Good understanding of team working principles, behaviours and dynamics.
- Demonstrable experience in a finance role, managing and developing teams
- Ability to analyse numerical data in a logical and accurate manner
- Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Knowledge and understanding of U4BW or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system would be advantageous.
- HNC in Accounting or equivalent qualification plus experience
